Social Media

Social media continues to grow and become more and more a part of our daily lives. It is the most significant tool we can exploit in our journey to create viral happenings in this community and this activity is directly responsible for helping create and build our stars.

Creating Viral Opportunities

The biggest hurdle all of these groups need to get beyond is a reluctance to Like, Share, Comment, or Subscribe to perceived competitors. Each of us has potential followers/friends that can be exposed to the things we like. When we like, share, comment, or subscribe we can expose our audiences to these things... which multiply the effect. As a community, when we all work this together like a well oiled machine... we can create the beginning of viral events. We are trying to create stars... star riders, star dealers, star sponsors, star organizations. When one wins, and we are connected... it can have a positive affect on all of us.

Forums

Forums are related to specific types and brands that the fan or racer follows. Even though organizations, sponsors, dealers, and promoters can benefit greatly from forum posts... they do not have the time to maintain a presence in all of the forums... and that is why the fans and racers play such a valuable role in forums. They spend time where others may not, and they can voluntarily support areas of our community. It is the fan or racer that will likely start the viral event that gives someone that boost towards stardom.

Forums are an excellent place to drive traffic to videos and posts because they have target audiences. If you are on a Yamaha R1 forum, you can assume that other members are fans of Yamahas and sport bikes... so you know they will be interested in posts that have something to do with those topics.

Example: if the forum has a section on tracks, and you know someone in the community has just posted a video or started a thread about tracks... it is helpful for you to share that in the forum you are in... which helps the organization, dealer/shop, or promoter gain traffic.

Generating Traffic

The number of people that watch a video, like a page or post, subscribe to videos, visit web pages, and comment are all forms of traffic that potential sponsors/advertisers are interested in. These statistics are especially meaningful to promoters and organizations that are seeking specific types of sponsors... and the people that affect these results the most are fans and racers.
