Accidental Deployment During First Track Session
June 14 was my first big track day of 2018 and I went out the first session on my Yamaha R3... well it was also my first time wearing my Helite air vest. I mounted my 360 camera to my rear license plate and half way through the session I decided to come into the pits and check to make sure the camera was still on the bike. When I got off, I forgot that I was tethered to the bike... so I found out the vest does exactly what it is supposed to do, which is deploy the moment you get away from the bike. I show it a couple of times in slow motion at the end of this video as well. Fortunately, I didn't repeat this the rest of the day.
