In our 2017 Journey to Track Days series we made friends with some of the folks that race. When possible, we like to meet up wherever we can to hang out... and one of the best places to catch them each month is racing. In 2018 we focused most on the 600cc Novice class.

With just one race weekend left, there was a change at the top of the standings in the 600 novice OMRRA class with Jeffrey Toevs winning again. He now has a 4 point lead over Pearce Lutz who had just ran the fastest lap at PIR by anyone in the class the day before. This sets the stage for an excellent race weekend in September. Includes front and back facing onboard footage from Pearce's bike.

Chromie
You could throw a blanket around the top guys in OMRRA in their Saturday race for the most exciting racing the sport has to offer. If you like racing... ANY racing, these guys are a MUST SEE and should be at the top of your list for monthly entertainment. Ryan "Chromie" Sutton recapped the race and tells us how close these amazing riders are.

Awards
See all of the awards for the 8/25/2018 race day on our Facebook OMRRA Awards video. Six lap records were set on this day which included the fastest lap a motorcycle has ever been at PIR by Andy DiBrino. A female (Mackenzie Ancien) won the 600 Supersport race and Ryan Sutton clinched the championship this weekend. See some of our additional video and related photos during podium presentations. This video includes all of the racing awards for the day (including the lemans start where the riders have to run across the track and then push start their bikes).
